DO follow your passion.
If you love what you do, you’ll stick with it. If you’re just putting in time doing a mediocre job, it’s not going to work in today’s market.
DON’T sit and wait for it to happen.

DO put in the effort to get it right.
You’ll spend more energy doing it wrong and covering it up than if you just do it right the first time.
DO have a purpose.
Having a vision or an idea of what you want to accomplish will do wonders for your personal success and the success of your business. Know what you want to accomplish and accomplishing it will become A LOT easier.
DON’T run from your competition.
Instead, learn as much as you can about them. Evaluate their business. Familiarize yourself with their strategies. Define and be clear about what makes you different and better.
DO define success.
What does it look like to you? Is it money? Relationships? Notoriety? More customers? More free time? Knowing what you’re working toward will help you get there.
DO commit.
Standing for something isn’t about writing a mission statement or having an elevator pitch in your back pocket ready for a passing VC. It’s about believing it, living it and getting behind it in your heart of hearts.
DON’T waste your money.
While you’re at it, don’t waste your time and energy. Have a business and marketing plan before you start building. Thousands of online businesses fail every year. Wonder why?
DO act.
What you do matters. What you say or think or write…well, it has a place, but it will never be as important as what you do or how you do it. Your success will only be as big as your actions are. Walk the talk!
