I’d agree, if you don’t establish yourself then you will have a hard time maintaining any following or loyalty.

I’d agree about the Old Navy Site, its to cluttered, but then again there trying to attract little kids and soccer moms, so I guess it makes sense.

For landing pages the simpler the better. I rather see one killer product with some good info rather than a cluttered page which is overwhelming and probably has a ridiculous bounce rate

Old Navy’s Site seemed a little too busy for me. My guess is they’re customers are used to the UI and deal with it, at a single glance it got me dizzy. One of the best samples had to be The North Face; Simple, and straight to point of commerce. Enjoyed the selections, and great blog.
